Nextmove has done an interesting test between the Audi e-tron 55 quattro, the Jaguar I-Pace EV400 and the Tesla Model X90D.
They tested all three cars on the German highway with the following parameters:
- outside temperature: 8°C - inside heating set to 20°C
- e-tron on 21" wheels - I-Pace and Model X on 20" wheels
- total distance of trip: 87km
- average speed: 120kph
- e-tron is a pre-production model, thus not fully optimized yet
It wasn't a real surprise that the Tesla beat the Audi and Jaguar but it was a surprise that the Audi managed to consume less than the smaller and less heavier Jaguar.
As far as range goes the results are also quite clear: since the Model X90D is the most efficient high-end BEV on the market at the time of writing it also gets the furthest.
They also included a Model X100D but IMHO the difference between the 90 and the 100 isn't that much...
